Locating where to add engine/motor oil to car

When car engine oil is low (check engine oil level), it is important to add oil. To add engine oil you need to be able to locate the oil filler cap on the engine. Oil Filler caps are usually located on top of the engine.

Sometimes the oil filler cap is clearly marked and other times the oil filler cap is not.

How to remove filler cap

To remove the engine oil filler cap, twist it in an anti-clockwise direction until it no longer turns and then pull it off. Always remember to put the oil filler cap back on and tighten it once you are done adding oil. Failure to put the oil filler cap back on will lead to an engine fire. If the engine is run without the oil filler cap on, oil will be sprayed onto hot engine causing oil to burn. Engine fire will destroy the engine and maybe the car.
